In this episode of the Rethinking Resilience supply chain podcast, Lennox’s Rich Flinchbaugh and Resilinc’s Rick Freeman discuss ESG and product compliance requirements in the manufacturing industry.
Numerous regulatory and product compliance factors, and environmental initiatives continue to drive change in manufacturing. Efforts such as the Reshoring Initiative, Inflation Reduction Act, EU Renovation Wave program, the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) and others all contribute to foreseeable impact on global manufacturing. In the HVAC industry, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency requires all HVAC manufacturers to switch to a refrigerant with a GWP of 700 or less by January 2025. This episode addresses how such market changes impact parts qualification timelines, supplier diversity, the shift to dual sourcing, and both regulatory and ESG compliance in manufacturing.
